Winners Design Contest - Lifeblue, Dallas, TX

After a month-long battle to determine the best of the worst, lifeBLUE Media has tabbed a winner in its “I Need a New Design” Contest.

Nick Mazza’s www.reviewback.com, a unique blog review and exchange service, garnered the most votes among more than 200 competitors and will receive a free redesign from the experts at lifeBLUE. The inaugural “I Need a New Design” Contest received submissions from 209 websites and blogs and tallied 10,827 total votes over a four-week span.

Mr. Mazza earned the top spot in convincing fashion. His 4,391 votes put him almost 2,600 ahead of his closest competitor.

“We want to congratulate Nick on his sheer domination. It’s a testament to his growing readership and the quality services he and the folks at Review Back offer,” said Phillip Blackmon, chief executive officer of lifeBLUE Media. “We’re excited to provide our design experience and expertise and help make Review Back even more accessible and, we hope, successful.”

The “I Need a New Design” Contest launched July 9 on the lifeBLUE Media website and featured a real-time scoreboard that attracted thousands of visitors. The centerpiece was the interactive “Wall of Shame,” a unique mosaic of contestant screen shots that also served as a virtual scorecard.

The contest also featured a second way to win – contestants who blogged about the “I Need a New Design” contest were entered into a random drawing for another redesign by lifeBLUE’s web design gurus.

Third Floor Cards, an Ohio-based website featuring homemade greeting cards, won the random drawing.

“We also want to thank everyone who submitted their website or blog for consideration,” Mr. Blackmon said. “The response was overwhelming.”
