Re-think everything you know about the web. Come work at experience Lifeblue.

by Shyam

Lifeblue is currently looking for three talented individuals to join our team.  We are currently seeking a:

We are Purpose not Mission Driven

Lifeblue is purpose driven and we have never written a cheesy overthought mission statement.  We are clearly driven by our purpose, not our own desires.  Not only will we help you perfect your current skills, we have the ability to help you rethink everything you know about the web.

At Lifeblue we take an innovative approach to creating websites and turning them into stories and experiences. In order to create the quality of work we all strive for it means we have to take an innovative approach to how we work together.

Saving the World from Bad Design (and Bad Jobs)

We believe in the power of Design.  Notice the capital ‘D’, Design at Lifeblue is about more than the visual aesthetic.  We believe everything we do is Designed from the way we write our code to the words we put on a webpage to the visual design and most importantly we Design the way we work together.  We believe that good Design has the power and ability to make people’s lives better.

We are a digital native company and are focused on building a 21st century company.   That means we don’t view our team members as cogs in a machine or resources that can be applied to any project.  We don’t care about your hourly capacity and output per hour; we value creativity, teamwork, and design thinking.  It’s all about telling a story and connecting with users on a different level through code and design.

Temporary Alpha, Perpetual Beta

Lifeblue is always in temporary α and perpetual β.  That means we are always experimenting with how we work and the tools and methods we use to create digital experiences.  If you have a great idea we are always willing to try it out at Lifeblue.

Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls

Lifeblue embraces fluid processes, which starts with prototyping and going straight to code.  Wireframes are a dirty word here at Lifeblue and prototyping in code allows us to quickly explore many ideas and uncover unforeseen challenges before we invest too much time on any one solution.  This process requires strong collaboration across all disciplines: content, visual design, front-end and back-end development.  It is important to iterate through our entire development process until we get to the most desirable solutions, not the minimally viable solution.

And That’s Just the Beginning

Ultimately at Lifeblue you will not only learn a completely new way to think about the web but also the processes involved in creating amazing experiences online.  If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, please send your resume and a cover letter to jointhelb@lifeblue.com explaining how you can contribute and help share our story with the world.
